Support
FAQs for doctors and patients, plus a direct line to our support team.
Need a human?
Email us — we usually reply within 1 business day (Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 6 PM IST).
How do I sign up as a doctor on Gemi Health?
Doctor accounts are invite-verified. Visit gemihealth.com/portal/signup and complete the sign-up flow with your name, email, phone, and medical council registration number (MCI / State Medical Council). Our team reviews registrations within 1 business day before granting access to the app.
I'm not receiving the OTP — what should I do?
OTPs are sent via SMS (for phone numbers) or email. If you don't see it within 60 seconds:
1. Check your spam / promotions folder if it's an email OTP.
2. For SMS, confirm your phone has signal and isn't blocking unknown senders.
3. Tap Resend OTP after the cooldown.
4. If still missing, email support@gemihealth.com with the phone number or email address and the time of the attempt — we can trace delivery.
How do I start a consultation?
From the Appointments tab, tap an appointment card or its Start button. The consultation screen opens with five tabs — Patient Profile, Exam, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Report — plus the patient's chief complaint and AI intake summary (if completed) at the top.
The patient finished their intake but the appointment still shows "Scheduled" — why?
The appointment status normally moves to Ready once the patient completes the intake. If it doesn't, tap the appointment anyway — the app will start it for you. The clinical summary is still attached and appears in the consultation screen.
How does the AI intake work?
Patients answer a guided series of clinical questions before the appointment. The AI compiles a structured summary — chief complaint, history of present illness, past medical history, allergies, social history — which you review at the start of the consultation. The AI summarizes; you decide. It does not diagnose or prescribe.
What do the Treatment tab sections mean?
The Treatment tab has three input sections, in the order they appear on the patient report:
Medical Management — structured prescription with drug search, dosing, frequency, route, and instructions.
Surgical / Procedural Management — procedures, surgical referrals, post-op instructions, wound care notes.
Lifestyle Advice — diet, exercise, sleep, habits. Quick-tap chips are provided for common advice; you can also free-type.
Below that is Follow-up & Referral for return-visit timing and onward referrals.
How do I generate and send a report?
1. Fill the Exam, Diagnosis, and Treatment tabs.
2. Open the Report tab and tap Generate Report — a preview renders inline.
3. If you edit any consultation field, tap Regenerate to refresh the preview.
4. When the preview looks right, tap Finalize Report. This locks the consultation.
5. On the completion screen, tap Send Report — the patient receives the PDF by email from no-reply@gemihealth.com. You can also tap Print Report to print or save as PDF on your device.
Can I edit a report after finalizing it?
No — finalized reports are locked to preserve the medical record. If you need to add information, create a new follow-up consultation for the same patient and document it there. For correcting a clear factual error, email support@gemihealth.com with the appointment ID — we'll review case-by-case.
Are my consultation notes private?
Yes. Consultation notes are visible only to you (the treating doctor) and the patient. Other doctors cannot see your notes unless the patient explicitly shares the record with them through their app.
What does Linked Accounts in Settings do?
Settings → Linked Accounts lets you link your phone number and email so you can sign in with either. Linking also lets us recover your account if one channel becomes unavailable.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings → Profile in the app, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. We process deletion within 30 days as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Clinical records that we're legally required to retain (under MCI / NMC guidelines, typically 3 years from the last consultation) are anonymized rather than deleted; your profile, login, and personal information are permanently removed.
How do refunds work?
Refund eligibility is detailed in our Refund Policy. For specific requests, email support@gemihealth.com with your account email and transaction details.
I think I've found a bug or security issue — where do I report it?
Email support@gemihealth.com. For security disclosures, use the subject line "Security disclosure" — we acknowledge within 48 hours.
How do I book an appointment with a doctor?
Most appointments are booked at the clinic during your visit (walk-in) or via the link your doctor's clinic sends you. You can also visit the doctor's booking page directly if they've shared one.
What is the AI intake and do I have to use it?
Before your appointment, an AI assistant asks you a series of questions about why you're visiting, your symptoms, medical history, and current medications. Your answers are compiled into a structured summary your doctor reviews, so consultation time goes further. It's optional but recommended — doctors find appointments more productive when intake is completed beforehand.
Is my health information secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and store medical records per the MCI / NMC retention requirements. Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
How do I get my consultation report?
After your doctor finalizes the report, it's emailed to you as a PDF attachment from no-reply@gemihealth.com. Check your inbox (and spam folder) right after your appointment. If you didn't receive it within an hour, contact your doctor's clinic or email us.
How do I request deletion of my data?
Email support@gemihealth.com with the subject "Data deletion request". To help us locate your records, include the email address and/or phone number you used to sign in at the clinic.
We process deletion requests within 30 days, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). Personal identifiers (your name, contact details) are permanently removed. Clinical records that your treating doctor is legally required to retain under MCI / NMC rules (typically 3 years from the last consultation) are anonymized — kept in the medical record but no longer linked to you.
You'll receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
